Movies like Frankenstein make laboratories seem like a dark, creepy space with a mad scientist at work.  However, although labs may appear dangerous in movies, real-world scientists develop and use organized procedures to keep the lab area safe.  In addition to focusing on safe lab practices, the experiments in this lab manual will help you learn about environmentally-friendly chemicals and how to follow safety precautions.

Before beginning, you much first realize there are specific techniques and precautions to learn to decrease risks in the lab.  You will need to learn the location of certain items, the rules of the lab, and the names of common lab equipment.
