About this Course:

 Learning Goals:

Teachers will use technology to make data more accessible, adjust instruction to better meet the needs of a diverse learner population, and reflect upon their practice through the consistent, effective use of assessment.

By completing this assignment you will demonstrate Mastery for the NC Digital Learning Competencies: Data & Assessment.

  1. Integrate digitally enhanced formative and summative assessments to gather student performance data to inform instruction and personalize student learning.
  2. Utilize performance data and digital tools to collaborate with students to analyze data and guide students in the creation of a personal learning plan.
  3. Utilize a standards aligned rubric to evaluate student work samples and providing the opportunity for students receive feedback through an online forum that might include peers, community members, and/or content experts.

 Instructions:

Participants who choose to begin the Data & Assessment Focus Area at the Mastery level will submit an artifact to provide evidence of their skill in the 3 target areas: Digital-Enhanced Instruction, Student Performance Data, and Multiple & Varied Forms of Assessment. It is possible that participants who initially begin at this level may later choose to return to the self-evaluation page and select another entry point for the coursework to complete.

Upon successful completion of the Mastery level, participants may earn 1.0 CEUs and a digital badge in this Focus Area.

 Time Needed:

The Mastery artifact reflects activities that demonstrate skill in this Focus Area. Some artifacts may take more or less time for teachers as they complete activities or collect evidence, but on average submission of the Mastery artifact and rationale may take 4-5 hours to complete.
